Taveuni Island, commonly known as the “Garden Island of Fiji” is the third largest of the Fijian Islands.
It is located at the north eastern extent of Fiji. Click here to view the map.
The majority of Taveuni is covered with indigenous forest with extinct volcanic cones. This gives a rugged and untouched landscape. It is home to indigenous wildlife and plants that are unique to Taveuni such as the Tagimaucia Flower and the endangered Taveuni Parakeets.
Access to Taveuni can be by regular serviced flights or by overnight ferry. Flights leave daily from Nadi, Suva and Savusavu. Alternatively, the ferry leaves twice weekly from Suva.
